Property listing photos: a practical guide without special equipment

Photos should help an interested person understand the space, not hide its limitations. Use current images that genuinely show the property.

  1. 1. Prepare the space and protect privacy

Remove documents, keys, mail, family photographs and other private details. Check mirrors and glass. Photograph and publish only spaces you are allowed to show.

  2. 2. Use even, natural light where possible

If practical, take photos during the day and use room lighting only when it does not distort colours. Keep the phone steady and use a horizontal frame when it suits the room. Avoid filters or stretched perspective that misrepresent dimensions.

  3. 3. Show the property in a useful order

Start with a clear view of the property or its main room, then show rooms, kitchen, bathroom, view and important details. The first photo becomes the cover; the form lets you reorder images or choose another cover.

  4. 4. Add photos accepted by the form

UseliSe accepts JPG, PNG and WebP files up to 15 MB each, with a maximum of 40 photos. At least one is required; the interface suggests 8–15 distinct views. If a file is rejected, check its format and size.

  5. 5. Review the gallery before submitting

Check that every image belongs to the same property, shows its current condition and that the first image represents the offer clearly. UseliSe prepares orientation and versions for the gallery, card and thumbnail; photos do not replace accurate text and listing details.

Quick check before uploading

  • I have the right to publish each photo.
  • No documents or private details are visible.
  • Photos are current and show the offered property.
  • The first image is a clear cover photo.
  • Files are JPG, PNG or WebP and each is under 15 MB.

An important limit

Clear images can make a listing easier to understand, but they do not verify ownership, installations or documents, and do not guarantee search position, enquiries or a completed deal. Check those facts separately.
